[screen, screen, screen... projector... qr codes]

More than a portfolio, my website focuses on the projects I've done, rather than on their IRL display. As a screen artist, I have a low interest in how they are showcased during exhibitions (a bad attitude that needs to be corrected). What interests me is to establish a screen connection, from my screen --> to yours.

A big fan of QR codes, I like to use them in the physical space and let visitors go home with my works.

For exhibitions, I've collaborated better with artist run spaces than with the galleries driven by monetary gain. While the last ones look better on my portfolio, working with them left me a bitter taste. The unwillingness to understand my practice and to offer a proper context for it, the advices given (without request) on how to improve my art and the focus on creating a physical object from my digital works, made me gather lots of frustrations. With some of my irritations I've made the gif series Basic Knowledge and the others blew up in The Artist's Bruised Ego Manifesto, which was posted on my instagram.

In Romania, my works always feel home @kinema ikon, @Aici Acolo Pop Up Gallery, @Indecis Artist Run Space and @Nucleu 0000, all artist run spaces, engaged in creating a local network for multimedia artists, sometimes even with the classic "0 budget" at their disposal.
