The .gif series In Absentia was made with open source predefined body movements, mostly used in the creation of video game characters. Actions like jumping, crawling, falling, shooting, climbing are multiplied and applied in the absence of a predefined environment. The effect of placelessness converts the movements into hypnotic sequences of struggle. Due to the .gif format, the characters are doomed to repetition.
